Wing And Footprinttattoos

The seniors group through the bush

The Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park is one of the most unique ecosystems in the world and therefore rightly declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled between the Indian Ocean and the Lake St. Lucia, actually the largest estuary in Africa (an estuary is a body of water that aufweißt depending on seasonal or environmental conditions, salt or fresh water), the National Park includes within a few kilometers of five different ecosystems, from maritime rain forests and sandy beaches to swamps, bush savanna and fossil coral reefs. The best way to see this fantastic natural paradise, is on a guided bush walk with armed ranger. Even terms of the animal world, the St. Lucia National Park, except for lions to offer almost everything in Africa has rank and name.

achieved through the cloud-covered land of the Zulus I St. Lucia on their first day without Sauzme (greeting in the RS!). First I need to get used to quite because no one sits next to me in the car, I can talk to. To not completely silent, I sing the songs hold something to the radio. Again and again I would like to say: "Look there" or "Did you see that?", But every time I notice quickly that there will be no one answer. Solo travel, because I have to get used it ...

To Fortunately, I am learning to know the next day early in the morning on a short jungle walk a 25-year-old Spaniard, who travels with his bike through South Africa. Since one of the real St. Lucia NP can only visit by car, he joined me and we travel together to the ranger station where we want to take a bush walk described above. However, we explained a little friendly staff, that Bush Walks are possible only with reservation. Is just a little disappointed in that moment, a coach with a German senior citizens tour group. Their leaders just listened to how we are rejected by the employees and turn on post.

Allerdings fällt dieses Pärchen in dieser Group not so on. You can be downright happy that the two are housed in a tour group, because it had two well-placed in Africa no yards without a guide. He Milchbubi classic and chronic mama's boy, she recognized movement dyslexic and years Weigh Watchers member. But to each his own ... and most of her that!

a snail's pace that the "Iron Gerta" but is still a little too quickly - because they can drive their man no matter how holding hands - we run quite humid temperatures through a beautiful jungle landscape. In the savanna, arrived at a hippo pool, we make the first proper maintenance. It is durchgeschnauft and strengthened with water and Asugrin. At maximum speed is of the "hippos" (as they say in German lands) snapped a photo and on we go in single file.
According good three hours leisurely strolling, we back at the ranger station. To experience the rich, that I hopefully go a long way to travel needs, we are of the (Almost) Elderly group and decide the park or something on your own goodbye - to visit - from the car. Thus we see a little later the beautiful beach at Cape Vidal and the ubiquitous dense rain forest that is now in various shades of green in der Abendsonne leuchtet.
